Dog Walking Contract

This agreement is made on [DATE] between:

  1. DOG OWNER’S NAME of [ADDRESS]
  2. DOG WALKER’S NAME of [ADDRESS]

The parties agree as follows:

  1. Services: The Walker agrees to walk the Owner’s dog(s) named [DOG NAME(S)] on the following schedule: [SPECIFY DAYS AND TIMES].
  2. Payment: The Owner agrees to pay the Walker [AMOUNT] per walk. Payment is due [SPECIFY PAYMENT TERMS, e.g., weekly, monthly].
  3. Duration: This agreement will begin on [START DATE] and continue until terminated by either party with [NUMBER] days’ written notice.
  4. Responsibilities:
    a) The Walker will collect and return the dog(s) to the Owner’s address unless otherwise agreed.
    b) The Walker will provide water and treats as instructed by the Owner.
    c) The Walker will immediately inform the Owner of any incidents or concerns during walks.
  5. Liability: The Walker agrees to exercise reasonable care while walking the dog(s). However, the Owner remains responsible for any damage or injury caused by their dog(s). In Scotland, the Owner remains strictly liable for any damage or injury caused by their dog(s) under the Animals (Scotland) Act 1987.
  6. Emergency: In case of a medical emergency, the Walker is authorised to seek veterinary care for the dog(s) at the Owner’s expense.
  7. Keys: If provided with keys to the Owner’s property, the Walker agrees to keep them secure and return them upon termination of this agreement.
  8. Cancellation: If either party needs to cancel a scheduled walk, they should provide at least [NUMBER] hours’ notice.
  9. Governing Law: This agreement is governed by the laws of England and Wales. For contracts in Scotland: This agreement is governed by the laws of Scotland.
